If you’re looking for a travel experience that goes far beyond sightseeing, BOOKED BY IMAN is it! This journey through Salvador and Rio de Janeiro was truly one for the books — spiritual, educational, cultural, empowering, and FUN, FUN, FUN! 💃🏾🥁🌴

Iman created an experience that allowed us to truly connect with the heart and soul of Afro-Brazilian culture. In Salvador, we explored the rich traditions of Candomblé, experienced the rhythm and energy of drumming in Pelourinho, indulged in incredible Bahian cuisine, and witnessed the deeply moving and powerful Boa Morte Festival. Every experience brought history, resilience, spirituality, and celebration to life.

Then came Rio! From an incredible behind-the-scenes Carnival experience to standing in awe beneath Christ the Redeemer and taking in the breathtaking views from Sugarloaf Mountain, every moment was thoughtfully curated. And that sunset cruise on Guanabara Bay? MAGICAL! 🌅🚢

What made this trip so special was the intention behind it. This wasn't simply a vacation — it was an opportunity to learn, reflect, connect, celebrate, and experience the beauty and complexity of Afro-Brazilian history and culture firsthand.

Iman’s attention to detail, passion for creating meaningful experiences, and ability to bring people together made this journey truly exceptional. I came home with incredible memories, a deeper appreciation for Brazil, new friendships, and a heart FULL of joy. ❤️🇧🇷

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Just wow! I retired May 29th and needed a Retirement trip this Summer. Brazil was the destination with Booked by Iman! She did not disappoint. From the time we stepped off the plane until the last day we were participants of the most well rounded, exciting, thoughtful and organized experience. What I love about her trips are that she experiences the trip before we do. This is my second trip booked with her travel business. So when we go on the trip she has answers to questions and if she doesn’t know she is always willing to find out. Her calm and classy yet poised demeanor  keeps the whole group relaxed and ready for the next adventure. She fills our cup daily with adventure, knowledge and fun! I can barely keep up at times! But she allows you to do what is in your own limitations and never makes you feel bad if you opt out of a group activity. Iman along with the group checks on each other and you honestly feel like you are with people you have known forever…. And we don’t know each other! Some have traveled to other trips with Iman, but even new people fit right in.   The genuine love between the group that manages to mesh before the trip is over is quite wild! We ate authentic recipes in our Black Brazilian sisters’ home. We stayed at beautiful hotels that were right on the beach! Watching the Sun rise and set may seem like a small thing to you but there is something Magical about it Always! The knowledge that we are fed is by far worth every penny we’ve paid! The breathtaking mountain views while dining was unique and exquisite! The Carnival experience learning behind the scene info, and trying on costumes and doing the Samba dances was so much fun! Touching one of the 7 Wonders of the World, was pretty cool! As I googled the other 6 Wonders I may touch another in this lifetime. I couldn’t make it up the 212 famous steps, but i sure did enjoy watching the other people tackle it. (Knowing my limitations is key in managing these out of the country trips. We are blessed to experience life in other countries and bring back a piece of what was stolen from us, one country at a time!  I shop til i drop and then reset with sleep and do it all over again! Salvador Bahia and Rio de Janeiro has blessed me! Amazing and every trip different Gems are discovered! Thank you for allowing me to gather all the pieces of me in these countries! I will leave the earth Full and my Cup runneth over with Joy! I can’t wait for the next trip to Zanzibar and Tanzania!  Abigado means thank you in Portuguese!

This was my first trip to Aruba, and thanks to the meticulous planning by Booked by Iman, it was a truly restorative and enriching experience. Originally scheduled from October 9–13, my stay was unexpectedly extended due to a flight mishap. Iman and her team swiftly updated my itinerary and ensured that the Barcélo Aruba hotel could accommodate the additional night—an impressive display of responsiveness and care.

The itinerary was beautifully curated with rest and relaxation at its core. Travelers were given a free day to explore at their own pace, which allowed me to soak in Aruba’s vibrant culture, enjoy some leisurely shopping, and witness breathtaking sunsets that will stay with me for years to come. The all-inclusive Barcélo Aruba offered a variety of restaurants and amenities that made unwinding effortless.

While minor snafus are inevitable in any group travel experience, every scheduled event unfolded smoothly. One traveler fell ill during the trip, and Iman personally stepped in to comfort her and ensure she returned home safely—a testament to her hands-on leadership and genuine concern for her guests.

From the sunset cruise to the day trips, and the joy of reconnecting with familiar faces while forming new friendships, this journey offered more than just relaxation—it deepened my understanding of Aruba’s cultural and economic landscape. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and grateful for the thoughtful execution of every detail.

From the sobering Elmira dungeons where I’d longed to know more regarding our ancestors experiences to Cape Coast, I felt a part of their experience, my reasons for coming home.  Thanks to BookedByIman, I’d recommend you don’t pass up on an opportunity unparalleled.

We stayed at the Barcelo Hotel in Palm Beach, Noord Aruba. Booked by Iman is such a professional agency from the pre-trip group meetings detailing preparations needed before leaving, to where we are going to meet up once we arrived. We received a travel/trip itinerary laying out what we can expect each day, which included emergency contact information for our transportation, hotel, and our Travel Director, Ms. Iman herself. We knew every aspect of what was expected from us in preparing for our trip, we even received packing tips for ourselves and Customs. This is our second trip with Booked by Iman, the first trip was so life changing we wanted to take another trip, and we are looking forward to future trips with this agency. In nine short days I learned more about history than I was ever taught in a classroom. In the midst of learning we hit the beaches, dined out, went on shopping sprees etc..
It was an extra comfort that Iman and Shana was always on hand if someone was in special need of anything. They dealt with unforeseen problems swiftly to make sure our trip was pleasant from beginning to end.
